COMMUNITY ART – PRAGUE 7 – MENTAL ILLNESSES
With the project PARALLEL LIVES V. we are following up on our previous projects aimed at improving the quality of life of people with experience of mental illness. Now we are bringing to Prague a unique connection of community art, art brut and therapeutic approaches, because we believe in the importance of art as a tool for personal development and social inclusion. In addition to the members of cs themselves, their families and the local community, the cultural scene also benefits from the project, which will be enriched with innovative and socially engaged forms of creation.
The aim of the project is to create a safe space where clients can meet without restrictions and, through regular art studios, to support and develop creative self-knowledge, release emotions and strengthen self-confidence.
venue: Tusarka 26, Prague 7 – 170 00
target group: people with chronic mental illness or in a crisis situation + interested members of the public from Prague 7 and surrounding neighborhoods
activities: regular art therapy workshops, group exhibition
Thanks to support from the City of Prague, the project is free of charge for its participants.
