TRAINING JOBS FOR MENTALLY ILL IN FOUR REGIONS OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC
PARALLEL LIVES IV. (reg.number CZ.03.2.60/0.0/0.0/16_064/0006279). Project aims to integration of socially excluded people (due to chronic mental diseases) to the labor market. The problem of the long-term high unemployment rate of this group (70-90%), including the consequent impacts, creates one of the main barriers to reintegration into everyday life. We will use respected IPS (Individual Placement Support) method to ensure high efficency of the project activities implementation. We follow up our long-term Parallel Lives project results (Parallel Lives I, Parallel Lives II, Parallel Lives III) and this time we will move to Liberec, Karlovy, Vysočina and Moravian-silesian region.

WORKING PLACEMENT FOR THE MENTHALLY ILL IN COOPERATION WITH SWEDEN PARTNER

The aim of the project PARALLEL LIVES III. is to test the possibilities of using experiential methods in influencing employers to promote increased employment for people at risk of social exclusion due to chronic mental illness in cooperation with Swedish (ACTIVA) and Czech Republic (FOKUS) partner in 4 regions of the Czech Republic (Prague,Central Bohemia, Plzeňský and Pardubický kraj). We build on the results and previous cooperation with our partners and on the successful projects Parallel Worlds and Parallel Lives I and Parallel Lives II. In the current project, we are mapping the needs of employers when working with the mentally ill and establishing cooperation to fill a specific job. The implementation of work placements will produce a document on their progress.

IMPROVING LIFE QUALITY OF MENTALY ILL IN COOPERATION WITH NORWEGIAN UNIVERSITY
WORKSHOPS– MOVIE – DISCUSSION – SOCIAL MEDIA COMPETITION
The PARALLEL LIVES II.project aims to improve the quality of life for people with mental diseases in the Czech Republic through the implementation of systematic education, training and publicity. The goal is to destigmatise persons with chronic mental illness. The project develops and builds on the results of the work in previous successful project Parallel Lives I.
Motto: „Stigmatizing campaign for the protection of the society against the mentally ill is shameful and primitive. On the contrary, it´s necessary to integrate them into the society.” (Cyril Höschl, one of the czech´s leading psychiatrists).
Therefore, in PARALLEL LIVES II., we have focused on the topic spreading not only among doctors, medical staff and other experts, but also among other related stakeholders like non-profit organizations, representatives of cities, government, people with chronic mental illness and the public. The innovation is also targeting at children and young people (12 – 25) in order to build and expand awareness of the issues in an attractive way amongst this target group.

PARALLEL LIVES I.
INSPIRATION AND INOVATION FROM FOREIGN EXPERIENCES
The aim of the PARALEL LIVES I. project is to continue the dialogue between the community of people with mental illness, the professional and lay public. PARALEL LIVES will point out that the problem of social exclusion of this group of citizens is a problem for all of us.
Motto: Psychological problems and illnesses sometimes plague almost a third of the Czech population.
This is clear from studies, the results of which were presented to journalists in Brno on Thursday 13.10.2011 by people from the management of the Czech Psychiatric Society (ČPS). According to them, it is estimated that three million Czech residents have some kind of mental disorder. About half a million of them go to the psychiatric emergency room.
The aim of the project is to improve the quality of life of people with chronic mental illness in the Czech Republic through the introduction of systemic tools facilitating their integration into working and social life.
